„It's often the small steps that really move us forward.“
The corona pandemic requires responsible action from all of us. We follow the recommendations of the Robert Koch Institute and support the measures to slow the spread of the virus. The work of the cdw foundation continues from our mobile workplaces. You can still reach us via e-mail or telephone. We would like to ask you too, as far as possible: #stayathome.
Many of our projects, project partners, funded projects and target groups are currently affected by the restrictions on public life due to the corona pandemic. In consultation with our partners we have cancelled or, if possible, postponed public events such as the state competition Schüler experimentieren and the Hessen SolarCup. Art and cultural events that we support are also affected. We are in close dialogue with our project partners in order to jointly find solutions for current challenges and master this exceptional situation.
We are also in close contact with our international project partners. It is still difficult to estimate how the corona virus will spread in our current focus regions in Senegal or Belize. We are observing the current developments with concern and have decided early on with our local partners to reduce mobility and direct contacts to a minimum. We have to be prepared for delays, but we see a high value in our reliable partnerships, which must be protected – especially now.
We would like to thank all project partners for their great commitment during this difficult time.
Stay healthy!
